Designed and built with on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), ResourceView comprises a rich suite of software components that can easily adapted to suit individual requirements. The modular, object oriented design ensures a platform scalable for enterprise use and with the flexibility to adapt to ongoing changes in business rules and logic.

Unlike other Wi-Fi tracking solutions, the ResourceView product was designed specifically for use with the Cisco’s 2710 Wireless Location Engine. ResourceView takes the 2710 location information and transforms it into meaningful, context aware information which provides real business value.

ResourceView provides a key set of functions:

• Searching
  Users can search for individual assets, wireless devices and even rogue clients using a combination of criteria such as name, id, group, type, time and location. Results can be displayed graphically on maps or in tabular form.
  
  
  
  
   
• Notifications
  Alerts can be generated upon a key business event (such as an assets moving, or leaving a defined area) and generates an alert. The alert can be sent to a 3rd party application using a variety of interface types
   
• Reporting
  A large selection of predefined reports are provided using the industry standard Crystal Reports package and the user can develop their own reports using a custom report builder
   
• Administration
  The administration tools allow the user to set up notifications and alerts, to define locations or zones (e.g., Wards or A&E), to set defaults and profiles for users and groups, to set owning areas for assets and to assign devices (tags, laptops etc) to assets (infusions pumps, staff etc)
   
• Back end toolkit
  The toolkit simplifies management of the ResourceView application through monitoring the health and status of the system. Events and Alarms are captured and automated notifications can proactively alert to allows problems to be resolved before impacting users
