Wi-Fi Temperature Sensors

Airetrak offers a range of Wi-Fi Temperature sensors which can monitor temperatures accurately between -200⁰C to +200⁰C. Sensor units can monitor ambient temperature, light and humidity with internal sensors, or use multiple external probes for monitoring ambient or core temperature within fridges or freezers.

Temperature data is securely transmitted to the Airetrak ResourceView software application, through a two way “handshake” process that guarantees the delivery of temperature data. The Wi-Fi temperature sensors also feature on-board temperature storage which retains data when the sensor is out of contact with the Wi-Fi network, this allows a complete cold-chain to be recorded for in-transit blood or drugs and ensures delivery of temperature information in the event of any failures on the Wi-Fi network.

The sensors are battery powered so can be quickly located on a fridge, in a cold room, or on mobile storage containers such as blood boxes or drug trolleys. Multiple temperature probes can be connected via flexible wires, allowing temperatures to be monitored for different fridge compartments, as well as core temperatures of the products stored.

Wi-Fi Temperature sensors have a wide range of features and options which include:

• External Sensors: allows you to attach 2 temperature sensors. Can be used, for example, to monitor core and ambient temperature, or top and bottom of refrigerator.
• Monitoring Temperature Range: -200°C to +200°C
• Calibration: Comes calibrated to US NIST certification and can be calibrated to UK UKAS standards
• Store and Forward: Can store at least 5 days of data at a sampling rate of 1 minute if the network is unreachable or down.
• Monitor Items Offsite: Can log temperature of a blood bag if it leaves site and transmit data when it next connects to the wireless LAN.
• Onboard information: a power switch, as well as 3 color LED provides sensor status information
• Long battery life: 3.6V AA lithium battery can last for up to 5 years (depending on settings and network quality).
