July 2008 – Airetrak presents at the NPL Locating Objects and Resources Conference

This one day seminar looked at the new and emerging applications of location based positioning that are being used in the Public Sector, or are being driven by the demands of Government. The workshop will commence with an overview of the future of Location in the public services by BT and a view of the current status of vehicle location systems in the local authorities and utilities.

The event will then major on four topical themes:

• e-Health
• Emergency Services
• Lone Worker Protection
• Public Transport Solutions

With contributions from, Airetrak, Airwave Solutions Ltd, Connexion2, Cybit, DeMontfort University, Ezurio, MDA, Romtrac, Terrafix and TfL the day promises to enlighten the audience on the current and future status of LBS in the Public Sector. Adding to the debate will also be a panel discussion on the Corporate Manslaughter Bill. Airetrak presented how Wi-Fi tracking solutions were seeing growth as more and more organisations adopted Wi-Fi.

Airetrak presented its ResourceView RTLS solution which uses small Wi-Fi based RFID tags to locate key equipment and resources.
